 One of the primary activities encouraged by the sports center of OAO MSZ is the promotion of healthy life-style and sports among the company employees and their families. Every year “Kristall” sports center holds the all-company sports competitions and 32 sports teams participate in them representing production workshops of the company with the total population of more than 3000 people. Over 5000 people attend health groups amateur sports clubs.
A lot of attention is paid to the children’s and youth sports. The most popular sports among children and teen-agers are football, basketball, volleyball, swimming, track-and-field athletics, cross-country skiing and table tennis. More than 800 children and teen-agers go in for different kinds of sports.
At the same time, “Kristall” sports center makes a lot of efforts to achieve highest results in big-time (professional) sports as well. The sports center has established a sporting school for gifted children and teen-agers focusing on the promotion and development of water sports (e.g. diving and synchronous swimming) and being among the best-known sporting schools in Russia. The youth sporting school has won many prizes and awards, viz. the Prize of the Governor of Moscow region and all-Russian “Gifted Children” competition.
People of different ages are keen on sports: among them you can find an 18-month baby and 80-year old men! The sports competitions are organized and held at various levels including local and regional team championships and even national championships and international tournaments.
 “Kristall” sports center places high emphasis on organizing and holding of sporting events, festivals of sports-loving families, camping trips, hiking and tournaments dedicated to memorable events or famous people.
16 sports are practiced by the sports center. More than 300 sporting events are held during the year and over 20000 sportsmen participate in them. Over 500000 people visit sports grounds, track-and-filed stadiums, ice arena and swimming pool.
Since the moment of its foundation the sports center has trained:
- 1 Honored worker of sports of the Russian Federation
- 9 Honored coaches of the USSR and RF
- 5 honored masters of sports
- 29 masters of sports of the international level
- 165 masters of sports
- 7 competitors of the Olympics, World and European Championships.
The best coaches coming from “Kristall” sports club have been appointed the coaches of the Russian national teams in Olympic sports (synchronous swimming, diving).
Sportsmen of “Kristall” sports club are always among the winners of the local and regional amateur sports competitions as  well as national and international sports competitions held among working population.
“Kristall” sports center is one of the leaders of Rosatom structure in sports sector and is known as the main center of “Atom-sport” sports organization of the RF.
“Kristall” swimming-pool being an integral part of “Kristall” sports center has won the contest called “Best Sporting Construction in Moscow region” and has been awarded the Governor’s Prize.
