“TUV CERT” experts held an audit inspection at JSC MSZ during November 7-10, 2006. The ISO 9001 standard of the Quality Management System and the ISO 14001 standard of the Environmental Management System were checked for compliance. The inspection examined different divisions of the company: basic workshops, production departments and services. The experts’ attention focused on production technology, energy management, personnel management, handling of non-conforming products and corrective measures.

At the meeting with Russian supervision officials (Rostekhnadzor (Federal Service for Supervision of Environment, Technology and Nuclear Management), Ministry of Natural Resources, EMERCOM, Ministry of Health and Social Development), the experts discussed company’s environmental performance regarding RF legislation, paying special attention to environment impact control in all the divisions they visited.

The experts made a few minor remarks, based on the results of the audit, and gave a number of recommendations on the system improvements. The QMS and EMS expert, Mr. Kachalov V.A., noted the encouraging fact of introducing system improvements on initiative basis, when the number of measures taken by divisions surpasses the number of measures planned by the administration. The fact, as the expert stressed, is the sign of further system development and the maturity of the QM/EM systems.
