Kuznetsov Aleksandr Ivanovitch
He was born in 1953 in the town of Elektrostal, Moscow region. Having graduated from the MPTI he has been working at “Mashinostroitelny Zavod” since 1980. In 1989 he became a head of the workshop. In 2003 he was made a deputy general director of OAO “MSZ” on quality. Doctor of technical sciences. He was awarded with “For services to the motherland” medal of the II degree. He got a title of “Veteran of atomic energetics and industry”.
Quality
Some of the traditionally very important elements of OAO “Mashinostroitelny Zavod” technological policy are quality and reliability of the production manufactured by the enterprise. All the events which may cause quality decrease and violation of standards for nuclear production and other articles produced are carefully examined.
Mashinostroitelny Zavod constantly improves design and fuel manufacturing technology and also takes an active part in examining of the irradiated fuel assemblies in order to inspect the action of particular elements for their further improvement.
Fuel pellets and fuel rods manufacturing is carried out at automated lines, equipped with the newest control devices, assuring high quality and liability of production, with progressive methods of welding and control application. Components for the fuel assemblies are manufactured on the modern specialized equipment which is mostly automated and mechanized.
Quality management system, ensuring management, commercial and technical activity, is functioning at OAO “Mashinostroitelny Zavod”. Quality management system meets the requirements of international standard ISO 9001:2000 and is certified by TUV CERT – accredited national body of Germany, recognized all over the world. OAO “MSZ” was the first plant in the sector and one of the first in Russia to get TUV CERT certificate.
Developed manufacturing capacities, specialized equipment, highly experienced personnel assure the production of fuel assemblies for any NPP of the world. Excellent quality of fuel assemblies enables the plant to broaden the geography of the production delivery in the world market of nuclear fuel.
